Faithful Sabbath & HolyDay-observing COG Minister Robert Collins visits his wife Sara in a Birmingham, Alabama, hospital (St. Vincent's) on her last day there. Mr. Collins has visited his wife in this hospital for a few hours nearly everyday since his release from the same hospital on 21 Jan 2011.

If you click on the picture, it should bring up a video that shows a few minutes of this visit.

THIS WEEK'S  ''PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE'':
(11-March-2011 Issue)

be moved without further delay on Monday 14-March-2011.  This would allow Mr. Collins to make a persuasive argument at the postponed hearing in State Court (in Columbiana, Shelby County, Alabama) on 15-March-2011 that his wife has been voluntarily moved to a private health & rehabilitation facility in his hometown and that therefore no ''placement order'' is needed and that no Conservator, Guardian or Guardian-Ad-Litem is needed.

      NOTE:  We drove to Americus, Georgia, on Thursday 10-March-2011 and picked the hospital bed for husband Robert Collins (the hospital bed that was won in an on-line auction from Georgia State University from their surplus facility.  We then drove to Cumming,  Georgia, and picked up not just one but two television-studio-quality teleprompters and tripods that Mr. Collins will use when he makes his next live video streaming sermon planned for the Sabbath of 19-March-2011 via the video page at:  http://www.COGTV.org.  You can find on that page a schedule of the live broadcast time for your time zone.  If you have questions or comments on the video web cast, you can write to me by email:  (SLG   -a-t-   COGTV    d-o-t   org).

        You can send cards of encouragement to Mr. or Mrs. Collins directly to their home address as follows:

UPDATE:

As of the Court hearing on 15-March-2011, here's what has happened (and what needs yet to happen).

Background:  A State agency (the Shelby County Department of Human Resources -- SCDHR) of Alabama had filed a petition with State court requesting four things to be ordered over Sara Collins:

      1) A Conservator;
      2) A Guardian;
      3) A Guardian-Ad-Litem;
      4) A Placement Order.

Several weeks ago Mrs. Collins' husband, minister Robert Collins, filed a formal Opposition with the court.  In response to the Opposition, the State agency, SCDHR, filed a Request for Dismissal of items one and two of their petition.  The agency filed the Request for Dismissal on 14-March-2011 just one day before the 15-March hearing.

That effectively leaves in their Petition to the Court, only items 3 and 4 -- item 3 being a request for a Guardian-Ad-Litem (''GAL'') which the agency tells Mr. Collins will not be billed against the Collins' estate (will not cost him anything) and item 4 being a request for a Placement Order (to confine Mrs. Collins to a medical facility appointed or approved by the State agency with the State court's approval).  The State agency has agreed with Mr. Collins' suggestion that Mrs. Collins be placed in a rehabilitation and health facility near his home in Alabaster.

Yesterday's hearing was postponed for a short time (future date not yet determined) to see if the State hospital does follow through and send Mrs. Collins on to the facility known as ''Chandler'' in Alabaster after her infection heals.  Mr. Collins believes that God intervened with much favor yesterday and appreciates on prayers on behalf of his wife and himself in this.  His wife still needs 1) healing of the infection and 2) the move to the Chandler rehabilitation facility in Alabaster.

This is up-to-the moment as of late in the day on 15-March-2011.
